For Immediate Release
(INDIANAPOLIS) May 24, 2024 – State Bank, an independently owned and operated community bank in Central Indiana, announced today a partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500.
State Bank is proud to join Ed Carpenter Racing as an associate partner and be prominently featured on the No. 20 Chevrolet of Ed Carpenter.
Mike Baker, President and CEO of State Bank expressed his enthusiasm “As a 114-year strong Indiana based community bank, we take great pride in helping individuals, businesses, and communities we serve find their financial way.” he stated. “We are very proud of our history as a premier community bank and take pride in our ability to make decisions locally where we live, work and play.” “We are a relationship bank, no doubt, and are proud to partner with Indiana based businesses, like ours. We have admired Ed as a Hoosier and power force at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and are thrilled about our expanded relationship.”
State Bank began in 1910 with a single location in Lizton, Indiana. Today, it has grown into a premier community bank serving individuals, families, and local businesses throughout Hendricks, Boone, Hamilton, and Tippecanoe counties. Focused on local decision making, State Bank is committed to both digital innovation and relationship banking.
Carpenter, co-owner of Ed Carpenter Racing, and State Bank customer states “Working with a locally owned and operated bank makes a remarkable difference and it has been very apparent in every interaction we have had with State Bank! Our team of bankers go above and beyond to make banking as easy as possible, including when we financed our building. We are looking forward to putting on a great show for State Bank and all of their customers in this weekend’s Indianapolis 500!”
One of the most experienced drivers in the field, the 2024 edition of the Indianapolis 500 will be Carpenter’s 21st where he will take the green flag from the 17th starting position. Carpenter is the only individual in the field who handles both the responsibility of driving a racecar and owning his own team. The Indianapolis native solidified his status as a hometown favorite who became the 10th driver to collect three or more Indy 500 poles in the century-plus history of the race.
The State Bank team will be at the final practice for the Indianapolis 500 on Carb Day supporting Ed Carpenter Racing and will be cheering for No. 20 at the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 26th.
