State Bank Adds New Employees to Meet Strategic Initiatives
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) September 26, 2024 – State Bank, an independently owned and operated community bank today announced several key employees have joined the State Bank team.
Jason Fenwick-Chief Financial Officer
State Bank is delighted to announce that Jason Fenwick joined the bank as Chief Financial Officer. Fenwick brings over 30 years of experience in financial management and investment banking. His expertise includes public finance/operations, investment management and capital markets services. Most recently, Jason served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Financial Investments at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Fenwick was instrumental in the strategic development of the financial plan for the LEAP Innovation District in Lebanon, Indiana.
Fenwick’s distinguished career includes City Controller/ Chief Financial Officer for the City of Anderson and Deputy Mayor/Chief Financial Officer for the City of Lawrence where he was honored as CFO of the Year in 2017 by the IBJ. Fenwick also has over 14 years of banking experience in Public Finance, Capital Markets and Securities.
Fenwick holds an MBA in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Indiana University.
Chelsea Grimes – Vice President, Market Manager
State Bank welcomes Chelsea Grimes as Vice President, Market Manager. In her new role, Grimes will strengthen State Bank’s commitment to our communities and drive continued growth in the State Bank Lizton, Pittsboro and Plainfield markets. Grimes joins the bank with more than a decade of experience in the banking industry specializing in consumer, small business, and agriculture banking.
Commitment to the community where she lives, works and plays is important to Grimes as she works to be a trusted advisor for consumers and businesses in Northwest Hendricks County. Grimes holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, as well as her securities licenses in Series 6, Series 63, SIE, and Life & Health Insurance.
Olivia Walker – Mortgage Banker – Greater Lafayette
Walker joins the bank as a Mortgage Loan Banking Officer where she will lead mortgage banking initiatives for Greater Lafayette. Walker joins Brad Marley and the Lafayette team as they strive to help business owners and families who are looking for a true community bank partner. With deep ties to the community, and extensive real estate experience,
Walker is providing expert mortgage solutions and fostering homeownership dreams within the Lafayette community.
Walker is a Purdue University alumna with a bachelor’s degree in Organization Leadership & Supervision
Brockton Yoder – Financial Advisor – Compass Investment Services
Brockton Yoder joined the Compass Investment Services team as a financial advisor. In this role, Yoder will provide custom tailored investment services and financial guidance to a wide range of customers across State Bank’s footprint. Prior to joining the Wealth Management division of State Bank, Yoder served as an Internal Wealth Generalist, where he excelled in delivering tailored insights to help consumers build, protect, and preserve their wealth. Brockton holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Purdue University and is certified with FINRA Series 7, Series 66, and SIE.
