STATE BANK OF LIZTON DONATES $10,000 TO LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES
BROWNSBURG, Ind. (March 23, 2020) –Mike Baker, State Bank of Lizton president and CEO, announced that the bank is making donations to local food pantries in Hendricks and Boone Counties totaling $10,000. “In response to the growing need for assistance in our own communities of the many people who are being affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, State Bank of Lizton has decided to contribute to our local food pantries to try to help those whose jobs, incomes, and lives are being severely affected”, said Mike Baker, president and CEO.
The donation will be divided between three food pantries in Hendricks and Boone Counties:
Hendricks County Food Coalition, which disburses supplies/food to all the pantries in Hendricks county),
Love Inc in Lebanon and The Caring Center in Lebanon. “These dedicated people give to the people who live and work in our market areas and giving back locally is one of our highest priorities”, he added.
“We hope to inspire others, businesses and individuals, to also contribute to these essential services as the need increases”, Baker continued. “We invite our customers, vendors, partners, and others to contribute as they are able, to these and other organizations during these hardships over the coronavirus pandemic. We are doing everything in our power to continue to serve the financial needs of our customers during this time as well as to protect our employees, customers, and communities. We are confident that when everyone does their part, we can contain this terrible threat”, he said.
