State Bank Welcomes Brad Marley as SVP of Commercial Banking
BROWNSBURG (Nov 30, 2021) – State Bank, an independently owned and operated community bank hired Brad Marley Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking working with the commercial banking team in the greater Indianapolis markets including Hendricks and Boone counties. Marley joins the bank with more than 30 years of banking experience, including 20 years in community banking. He was the CEO of Lafayette Community Bancorp which he helped successfully merge with Horizon Bank in 2017 and where he remained until joining State Bank.

Pending regulatory approval, State Bank will open a Lafayette location at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Concord Road. The banking center is currently being remodeled and plans to open in quarter three of 2022 as a full-service banking center offering personal and commercial banking, mortgage, and investment services.
Marley joins two others already hired to support Lafayette market expansion: Tony Albrecht, EVP/Chief Lending Officer and Lafayette Market President, a title he will retain for the time being, and Trula DeWald, VP of Retail and Business Development. The newly assembled three-person team boasts over 80 years of combined banking and local decision-making experience.

Marley received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University and is a graduate of Purdue’s Indiana Agricultural Banking School and Indiana Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School. His 30-year banking career includes numerous senior executive roles throughout the Lafayette/Tippecanoe County market, including 13 years as President and CEO of Lafayette Community Bank. Marley’s banking accomplishments include commercial and retail loan production and growth, deposit growth, improving credit quality, producing new loans, initiating and promoting new business lines including commercial and industrial products and SBA loans.
Marley currently serves on the West Lafayette Community School Corporate trustees board, West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission and the boards of Greater Lafayette Commerce, United Way of Greater Lafayette and Greater Lafayette Police Foundation. Marley lives in West Lafayette with his wife Debra, and they have two grown children.
